As it was announced yesterday at Open Coffee XVI the GIVE Fund, affiliated with New Economy Development Fund or otherwise known as TANEO, has offered pre-seed funding of up to 20,000 EUR on business plans that will come out of Startup Weekend Athens!
More details of this exciting piece of news will be posted at a further date.

Hi,
It’s good to see funding support, but inevitably, I have a few questions:
1. a. Has there been any decision as to if they will fund one business plan or more?
1. b. If more, how many?
1. c. Will the funds be equally divided among the selected business plans?
2. What will the criteria be for selecting the business plans to be funded?
3. Are there any limitations to get funded? Team size, individuals experience and/or current occupation, etc?
4. When will the decision be made as to who will be funded?
5. When is the money actually paid?
I hope I didn’t sound critical. I just want to make sure everyone is motivated, so the more information we have, the clearer the target.
Cheers,
George

[...] I’m sure that the event will be both fun and tough, but, in any case, you’d better not let the chance go by and go create something really cool and useful, things may turn out to be much better than expected (20.000 euro included) [...]

Hello George,
Your concerns are valid but unfortunately answers to all your questions cannot be given at the moment given that the relevant information has not been made available to me at the moment. We will be able to answer all these questions during the weekend when we have more specific feedback from the GIVE fund people.
